    beef sirloin tips: 12 oz, basmati rice: 1 c, asparagus: 12 oz, garlic: 3 cloves, ginger: 1 tbsp, hoisin sauce: 2 tbsp, sesame seeds: 1 tbsp, scallions: 2 unit, soy sauce: 1 tbsp, vegetable oil: 2 tbsp, salt: ½ tsp, pepper: ½ tsp, water: 1½ cups

    Wash and dry all produce. Trim and discard bottom inch from asparagus, then cut stalks into 2-inch pieces. Mince garlic. Trim and thinly slice scallions. Peel and mince ginger.

    Bring water and a pinch of salt to a boil in a pot . Add basmati rice, cover, and reduce to a simmer. Cook until tender ⏱️ 15 minutes . Remove from heat and keep covered.

    Meanwhile, whisk together garlic, ginger, soy sauce, 1 tbsp water, and 2 tbsp hoisin sauce in a small bowl .

    Heat a drizzle of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Pat beef sirloin tips dry with a paper towel, then season with salt and pepper. Add to pan and toss until nearly cooked to desired doneness ⏱️ 2 minutes . Remove from pan and set aside.

    Add asparagus and scallions to same pan over medium heat. Cook until tender but still crunchy ⏱️ 3 minutes , tossing occasionally. Add beef sirloin tips and hoisin sauce mixture to pan and cook until sauce is thickened and meat reaches desired doneness ⏱️ 2 minutes . Season with salt and pepper.

    Fluff basmati rice with a fork. Divide between plates, then top with stir-fry and garnish with sesame seeds.
