    Bring a medium pot of water with a large pinch of salt to a boil. Mince garlic . Peel and mince ginger . Thinly slice scallions , keeping the whites and greens separate. Trim and discard the bottom inch of baby broccolini . Halve the broccolini lengthwise through the stems, then cut into 2-inch pieces.

    Cook the brown rice : Add rice to boiling water and cook ⏱️ 30 minutes , until tender. Drain using a strainer and set aside.

    In a large bowl , combine soy sauce , hoisin sauce , scallion whites, half the garlic, and half the ginger. Add ground beef and thoroughly mix with hands.

    With ⏱️ 15 minutes left on the rice, heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add broccolini and cook, tossing, ⏱️ 6 minutes , until crisp-tender. Season with pepper . Add remaining garlic and ginger and cook, tossing ⏱️ 30 seconds , until fragrant. Remove from pan and set aside. Cover to keep warm.

    Heat the same pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add beef and cook, breaking up meat into pieces, until browned and no longer pink ⏱️ 5 minutes .

    Finish and plate: Fluff rice with a fork . Serve broccolini and beef on a bed of rice, sprinkled with scallion greens and sesame seeds . Enjoy!
