2Bring a large pot of water to a boil and season with salt. Wash and dry all produce. Peel and mince garlic. Cut broccoli into bite-size pieces. -
3Remove italian chicken sausage mix from casings and discard casings. Heat a drizzle of cooking oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add sausage and cook, breaking up into pieces, until browned and cooked through ⏱️ 5 minutes . Add garlic and cook, stirring, until fragrant ⏱️ 45 seconds . Remove from heat. -
4Once water is boiling, add penne pasta to the pot. Cook, stirring occasionally, until al dente ⏱️ 6 minutes . Add broccoli and cook, stirring occasionally, until bright green and pasta is done ⏱️ 4 minutes more. Drain well. -
5Return the pan with sausage to medium-low heat. Add the drained pasta, broccoli, and olive oil. Toss until everything is coated in a glossy sauce. Taste and season with salt and black pepper as needed. Divide pasta between shallow bowls. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and chili flakes. Serve immediately.
