In a #small pot{}, combine @jasmine rice{1%cup}, 1¼ cups water, and a pinch of @salt{1%pinch}. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce to a low simmer. Cook until rice is tender, ~{15%minutes}.

While rice cooks, wash and dry all produce.

Pat @ranch steak{12%oz} dry with paper towels and cut into bite-size pieces. Place in a #medium bowl{}, season with @salt{1%pinch} and @black pepper{1%pinch}, add @cornstarch{2%tbsp}, and toss to coat.

Heat a drizzle of @cooking oil{1%tbsp} in a #large pan{} over medium-high heat. Add @shishito peppers{4%oz} and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and blistered, ~{2%minutes}. Remove to a plate and set aside.

In the same pan, sear the coated steak pieces until browned and cooked through, ~{3%minutes}. Remove steak to the plate with peppers.

Meanwhile, in a #small bowl{}, combine @sweet thai chili sauce{2%tbsp}, @sweet soy glaze{2½%tbsp}, and @sugar{½%tsp}.

Fluff rice with a fork and stir in @garlic-ginger scallion paste{2%tbsp}. Season with @salt{1%pinch} and @black pepper{1%pinch}.

Divide rice between bowls. Return steak and peppers to the pan, add the sweet soy glaze, and toss to coat. Spoon over rice and finish with @crispy fried onions{1%unit}, chopped @cilantro{1%bunch}, a squeeze of @lime{1%unit}, and a pat of @butter{1%tbsp}.
